Class Descriptions

All-Levels Yoga

Strengthening and revitalizing yoga, perfect for everyone. Some knowledge of yoga helpful, but not required.  Each class includes breath awareness, and body positioning in the asanas (poses) and guided relaxation or meditation at the end called “savasana.”

Beginner Yoga

Perfect for beginners.  This class is for anyone new to yoga, those with health issues, pregnant, or just wanting a nice gentle class.  Breath awareness, body positioning in the asanas (poses) and a guided relaxation or meditation at the end called “savasana” 

Power Yoga
This class is intended for more advanced students who know and understand the asanas more.  This class is fast paced and has some cardiovascular elements to it. We focus on arm, shoulder, leg and core strength, preparing for advanced poses. And a guided relaxation or meditation at the end called "savasana".

Sun Salutations
This is an advanced class for those comfortable with all of the positions of the sun salutation series.  It moves at a quick pace.  Knowledge of breath and advanced poses such as inversions helpful. With a guided relaxation or meditation at the end called "savasana".

Yin Yoga

Suitable for almost all levels of students.  Yin Yoga is a perfect compliment to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles.  Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.  While initially this style of yoga can seem quite boring, passive, or soft, yin practice can be quite challenging due to the long duration of the poses.  Yin and yang tissues respond quite differently to being exercised.  You need to experience this to really know what Yin Yoga is all about.


Tree Yoga 
Two hour outdoor workshops offered often. Workshops are $25.  Must attend a workshop in order to participate in our scheduledTree Yoga classes.


Yoga Flow

A non-stop flowing yoga class with eclectic music.  Core work and other strengthening sequences as well as a gentle Sun Salutation and guided relaxation to close.  All-levels.

Restorative Yoga
A yoga  method using props and long hold times to open the body in a more passive way,  while focusing on relaxing the body.  Restorative yoga is a particularly effective practice when ill, or recovering from illness or  injury.

Specialty Classes

Couples Yoga  This yoga class brings two people together through touch and mutually beneficial yoga postures.  It relies on  both  partners to trust and communicate.  There is an element of playfulness and fun along with a focus on the breath and cultivating a peaceful mind.  We want you to approach this class with a sense of humor and creativity.  Your partner can be a spouse, friend, child, or buddy.  Please call ahead to sign up for this class. 

Zen Kids (for kids ages 3-4 to 12-13 yrs.) Fun, creative exercise for kids ages 3-13 yrs. (Ages are determined per child) This is a class where the body benefits from yoga asanas and other techniques in an imaginative and creative way that kids can embrace.  Fun music and props may be used. 

Yoga Tots I  (0 – 6 months l)
For parents, caregivers, or anyone else with a desire to connect more deeply with a baby in their life. Adults wear comfortable clothes.  This is not specifically an exercise class although there will be some focus on post natal activity.  Other activities include special relating time building trust, confidence, and relational skills and massage. This is an opportunity to start off early in mentoring your child to become a healthy and balanced person.

Yoga Tots II  (6 months – 3yrs)
This class is designed specifically to support those of you with young children.  We know how hard it is to find ways to be healthy and exercise that are truly family friendly.This is a great option for families with multiple children of varying ages.  Wear comfortable clothes and come ready to breathe, focus, and play together.   Bring an open mind and leave your stress!
